Fund Raising for Sri Lanka Tsunami Relief Project

Following the 2005 Tsunami Relief Project (see Tsunami Relief Report), World Medicine (renamed from Acupuncture sans Frontières) is organising another two-week’s trip to Sri Lanka in early October 2006. This year’s project includes acupuncturists and massage practitioners from Europe and Malaysia, continuing to treat Tsunami survivors in Sri Lanka.

Fundraising events in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, started in August. On Merdeka Eve Oran Kivity led a group of four massage practitioners from Pacific Spa Academy at the Curve in KL. The team did another two fund raising events on September 10th and 17th, treating a delighted public in exchange for donations to the charity at Mont Kiara Plaza’s Sunday market.
