DR. MANAKA’S YIN YANG BALANCING SYSTEM

A three-weekend course for qualified acupuncturists or final year students
March 29-30, April 26-27, May 24-25

• Use of the eight extraordinary vessels and polar channel pairs with ion pumping cords, as well as open point therapy according to daily, ten day and sixty day cycles
• Palpation skills, diagnosing from the abdomen, channels and the gastrocnemius
• Japanese moxibustion skills including warm needle, cone moxa and rice grain moxa techniques
• Japanese intradermal needling & additional holographic systems of the ear and hand
• Japanese superficial needling, correct insertion with a guide tube
• Manaka’s wooden needle and hammer, tapping at channel frequencies
• Sotai stretches and channel release exercises for musculo-skeletal disorders & structural adjustment
   

Yoshio Manaka was a poet, artist, scholar, physician and healer. He lived for and was inspired by ideas and invention. At the pinnacle of his life he reached a level of healing skill that made him renowned in Japan and overseas.

You will be introduced to Dr Manaka’s comprehensive system of diagnosis and treatment: a structured approach to address the root, the branch and the overall body structure. The course will focus on Dr. Manaka’s insights into the channel system and the dynamic interactions between channels, points, the abdomen and other reflex areas. 

Japanese acupuncture is different to Chinese acupuncture in many ways. Based on the idea of “maximum benefit with minimum intervention” it uses very light needling and moxa techniques as well as a variety of polarity devices to enhance channel flow. Palpation, especially abdominal palpation is all important to check and recheck the effectiveness of each technique.

This is the first time that Japanese acupuncture has been taught in Malaysia. The course will be held at Energy Spa Academy in Great Eastern Mall, Ampang and taught in English by British acupuncturist Oran Kivity. Oran Kivity has taught Dr. Manaka’s system in the UK since 1999. His teaching mixes theory with practice, practice and more practice. Aided by clear handouts you will gain a deeper understanding of acupuncture and the channel system and new levels of clinical confidence and effectiveness.
